Google Ad Calculator
A free Google Ads calculator that forecasts required budget or expected sales, clicks needed, revenue, CPA, ROAS, ROI, and optional breakeven analysis based on your profit margin.
How the Google Ad Calculator works
Choose whether you're planning around a sales goal ("I need 100 sales this month — how much should I budget?") or a fixed budget ("I have $2,000 — how many sales can I expect?"). Enter your value per sale, average cost per click (CPC), and expected conversion rate, and the calculator instantly forecasts your required spend or expected results — including clicks needed, conversions, revenue, CPA, ROAS, and ROI.
Understanding CPA and ROAS
Cost Per Acquisition (CPA) is what it costs to generate one sale: CPC ÷ conversion rate. Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) is revenue divided by ad spend, expressed as a multiple (e.g., 4x means $4 back for every $1 spent). Both are calculated automatically from your inputs.
Breakeven analysis
Add your profit margin per sale (as a percentage) to unlock breakeven analysis — the calculator works out your breakeven CPA (the most you can pay per sale before losing money) and breakeven ROAS, then tells you plainly whether your current numbers are profitable or not.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
Confusing revenue with profit
Solution:
Using an overly optimistic conversion rate
Solution:
Ignoring CPA relative to margin
Solution:
